Hi Claudia, I am looking for the best way to incorporate including the genres for these stories. For me, I'm always a 100% or not at all, and because most of the stories that are featured don't readily state what their genre is, and I don't want to presume/guess for those that don't explicitly state the genre, I have left them out. But I can see how stating the genre would be helpful to readers who may not want to be surprised by a genre that may not be their cup of tea. I will reconsider adding the genre at least for the stories where it's provided.

It would be reasonable enough to ask the authors to add the genre when they initially submit their story. Then there's no guesswork, just an extra column of information, though Claudia is right that you already do so much here. We appreciate it.

For mine,

A Wolf in Thief's Clothing [Thief of Magic, Episode 2] - 8/23/24

FANTASY (Casual, light-hearted)

David Jace of Reality Escape

You're already doing a lot by curating these lists and adding the genre seems to be very complex at this point since, like you mention, you would have to guess/label yourself. We can all read the stories for ourselves and enjoy them without any genre tag.

Thanks for this space!
