What You Missed, Live! on TiF…

The time has come for all fiction writers who are sharing their work on their publication with an end goal to make their work available for purchase once it’s complete, to take the Stories Off the Stack Pledge. Today, I share what exactly Stories Off the Stack is? Who it’s for? And why I came up with this in the first place? If you fall under the criteria click the button below to take the pledge. If you’re unsure if you fall under the criteria? Click HERE to read all about it, or watch the VOD of this morning’s Live episode.

Take the Pledge!

MicroZine is an online publication where I get to share my love of writing micro fiction with others and create a platform for fellow micro fiction writers to showcase their work. One of the things I wanted to come out of MicroZine was an in-print version of the monthly digital issues. Without the proper capital to create a full magazine, the next best thing has finally presented itself! A MicroZine zine (pronounced “zeen”)! Here are a few images as well as the PDF you can download of our first issue. There are more to come, including the return of open submissions every month, prompts and workshops, starting this March.

We had our first TiF Presents this past Friday. There were a few hiccups along the way that I take full responsibility for. I considered this first venture out a learning one. I took notes on what to do differently next time in terms of communication, promotion, and clarity of the event and its purpose. The next TiF Presents will be in June with the submissions window open in May. I will tell you more about it then.

The TiF Scholarships and TiF Magazine are on hold until such time as I can fill the TiF Team of Genre Curators positions. Unfortunately, I can’t accomplish those things without a team to help lighten the load I’m currently carrying on my own. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I’m doing and I fully understand how much it emboldens the community. But until I can get some help and support this is probably all I will be able to do. As much as I want to do more, I know that it’s just not possible for me to do it alone.

I want to put another call out for volunteers to join the TiF Team as Genre Curators. My goal is to have a full team in place by this Summer. Sooner would be better but I understand building something like this takes a lot of time and patience.

I am looking to fill 10 different genre curator roles. You can find out more about which genres and what it entails by clicking the button below:
